TIA lives on

In the years following 9/11 I remembered there was a big outcry against the Total Information Awareness program, which was proposed to be a massive data mining program of all communications for the purpose of “stopping terrorism”. Well apparently it didn't stop in 2003, it just continued underground. Hopfuly these new revelations will help with cases like Jewel v. NSA.

I watched a video of Edward Snowden going public with these revelations. It took immense courage knowing that his life was forfeit. Most would want to hide for that very same fear. The NSA phone collection and PRISM Programs is just the tip of a huge iceberg, and it'll be good to know how this global surveillance infrastructure is structured.
